Visiting the deceased

When we’ve taken your loved one into our care, you have the option to visit them in our chapels of rest, which are at our premises on St. Catherines Road.

This decision is a very personal one, and this is an area where it is difficult for us to advise you. What we will say is that over the years, we’ve seen many people visit the chapels of rest, and even though some have found it upsetting, most take a lot of comfort in seeing their loved one at rest – and are grateful for the opportunity to see them one final time.

Visiting the deceased is completely optional – you wont be pressured in any way by our team to do so.

You’re welcome to personalise the chapel of rest by displaying photographs of the deceased, or some belongings that were special to them.

If you’d prefer not to use our chapel of rest, and instead have your loved one at home we will happily arrange this for you.

Our private Chapels of Rest are open Monday – Friday and viewings can be arranged during office hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm. We can arrange viewings for Saturdays, Sundays and weekday evening (by appointment only).
